It's truly dissapointing Drive-Smart was unable to send a unit to the GoL for testing, however does it really make that big of a deal for your purchasing decission? Lets get real here folks! I'll be the first to admitt that I tested the Laser Mimic and it worked flawlessly right? Later on a blind purchase was made and it was proven the Laser Mimic's build quality was ****. Was I given a juiced unit? Yeah.
The Point
The point is Drive-Smart doesn't have a retail unit available for sale. Why would it be in the best interest of Drive-Smart to throw the jammer in a box if they openly admitt they were having pre-test software problems? Torbin at blinder had a huge embarrassment when his prototype failed at SML! Why would Neil want his jammer to be black listed if it's not working flawlessly like all the other jammers provided by the manufacturers at this GoL test? Leon complained becase this GoL test is not blind. I totally agree with him.
When drive-smart has a product to sell that's the time we should all be on our toes. In the mean time lets figure out what's wrong with jammers being sold NOW. I hear brand XTSDJ rev. 987 is coming out in 2007 and it jams everything. They didn't show up at this GoL test either! Holy shi# they must not be a real jammer company then huh.
Drive-Smart is not a shell company either if you do your research. They manufacturer and produce GPS units that are for sale and have been on sale for a long time. It's not like DS is hand soldering units out of a garage. They're a professional company making other products as well and if you look at their laser jammer proto pictures it's clear as day they really are working on a unit.
The problem with this board is we talk too much about products not being sold and dont' pay enough attention to the problems with products being sold. One step at a time folks. Lets give these threads content they once had.
