What about offering a single high-output transmit head?

Would it be beneficial to offer a single laser head that you can install on the front (or rear) of the car (in addition to the regular heads, for example on a Blinder M-40 system like I have). And this single head would have an extremely high transmit signal, and would also transmit a rather wide, tall signal?

This could accomplish two things:
1) Increase jamming distance (could fully jam to gun all the time) because the police laser simply cannot put out as much laser power as the single transmit head
2) Increase jamming area. If the cop is on the overpass, or at the bottom of a hill as you crest it, OR if he's off to either side of you at a high angle, the single head could still jam the signal by transmitting mostly straight ahead, but also transmit up/down/sideways.

I think the problem lies in the capacity of analysing the police laser , manufacturer use some coding to avoid jamming.

Could a high speed rotating mirror confuse the lidar , returning the signal in an abnormal fashion ? Of course assuming the size is large enough and that the beam is targetted at the mirror , someone could test the principle ?

It would probably make it easier for them to test the speed. Unless it's some sort of special mirror that can alter the wavelength of the signal somehow.

Perhaps. A rotating mirror might reflect the rays away from the lidar gun at let's say 359 times out of 360 times but that 1 time it's right on target to hit the gun.
