If you want to log the data as well you can do this via the PC software we released today as well.
It will show you the pulse rates/time between pulses etc etc.
dang, that's awesome DS! good work!

I forgot to mention you will need a laptop in your car hooked upto the serial connector on the in-car box to log the data.
The Drivesmart will have similar software available for it as well over the next couple of weeks.
OK some questions:Originally Posted by drive-smart
So, Defender2 displays the number guns are shooting at it simultaneously?
What is the maximum number it will show?
Does it show the pulse rate of all guns shooting at it simultaneously, or just the first/strongest/etc gun?
With Defender2 jamming multiple guns, will some guns show jamming codes that otherwise would not if Defender2 is jamming only the one gun?
Since Defender2 can jam multiple guns, does it use a high-frequency pulsing scheme (in the MHz) like in the old Lidatek LE-10/Target LE-850?
If it does use a high-frequency pulsing scheme, is the pulse load shared between the laser diodes? (i.e. 500 Khz per diode?)
If it is using such a scheme, are the laser diodes overdriven?
If the diodes are not overdriven, why is there a time limit for jamming, since the diodes should be able to jam for any length of time if operated at their rated specs?
Is there a downloadable version of defender2 operators manual, in pdf etc?
First of all we don't over drive the diodes.Originally Posted by jimbonzzz
If you grab the datasheets you can see the info and driving specifications.
Osram diodes do have operating tollerances so if you wanted to it would be easy to overdrive within the specifications.
There is also an onboard temperature sensor that will be able to give you various ammounts of info.
Also if you mean do we burn holes in pieces of paper the answer is NO LOL.
The logged data is in real time so there is no reason why it will not give the info on both guns as it will see the various different pulse rates and time between pulses etc.
I may be wrong here I think on kick off the LTI20-20 threw up 01 and the UL 03 but on the back display and not the HUD.
Users manual will be up later today on the support section of our site.
Neil please answer the Professor's questions because your answers are vague. This is NOT meant to destroy this thread with flaming.
RIP Duncan my BELOVED black lab son 8/7/99-3/23/11. I will miss you DEARLY.

LET THE BIRTH OF MANY TESTING GROUPS HAPPEN!
You want to know what it is like doing something for the love and passion and not for the mighty dollar then look up GOL!
buyradardetectors rocks!
DS and other jammers may jam two guns if the LIDAR gun examples used are close in pulse rate or have the same pulse rate..........
POINT:
"In the book "Understanding traffic radar & lidar", the table for the PPS rate for some lidar guns is different.
I suspect its the firmware version, but here's what they say:
LTI 20/20 & Marksman 180 pps
UltraLyte 120 pps (no version specified)
all others matched.................. (BELOW[replacer_img]
.......................................PPS Relative Pulse Rate
Laser Atlanta ProLaser II..238............4.2016 millisec.
Kustom Pro III.................200.............5.00
LTI Marksman & 20/20......180.............5.555
Stalker............................130............ .7.6923
LTI UltraLyte....................120.............8.333 3
page 142 of the book...... copyrighted 1998.

Data from the GOL:
Stalker LZ-1, 130pps, Firmware v1.8, Manufactured Oct 1998 (Top Middle)
LTI Ultralyte LR Rev 1, 100pps, Manufactured June 1998 (Bottom Left)
LTI Marksman, 125pps , Manufactured June 1994 (Bottom Middle)
LTI Ultralyte LR B, 125pps, Firmware v3.02, Manufactured August 2003 (Bottom Right)
Knowing that there are a few (at least 3 versions) of the Ultralyte:
LR ver 1 100 pps
LR B 125 pps & MARKSMAN 125 pps
100LR ?
Depending on the firmware version.....Neil could have two same pps, LTI products, hence the "dual" jam...................IMHO.
