    Default New Defender2 jamming movie

    MOVIE LINK REMOVED by Happya$$
I found it on their forum. What do you guys think?

I dont understand the end bit though... the gun is shooting the HOOD of the car, and no speed or anything? How can that be?

well, the video is made by JTW. Put 3 & 3 togeather. Scion, Washington, Laser Atlanta.

Next its a headon shot on an overpass. On this forum until RacerX & Outrun showed that overpass shots are nothign to be scared of especially when the shot is head on.

However it did jam so thats a great start. As per the hood - its my take that overpass shots work well for 1000FT to around 100 / 200FT ish. At this point you are going to start loosing the plate to shoot at, & the headlights. As you could see in the video as the car gets closer.

The hood, sides of the car are fairly terrible for getting a reading.

Cool vid, and a good start for DS not bad. However it is a commerical so who knows if this was persistant jamming, or random, what firmware was used, if it was special firmware just to deal with the LA etc. The reason I bring up the firmware is because it jammed for longer than 5 seconds and had surpassed 8 seconds. weird!

It would have been nice to see which jammer was installed on that car.

The overpass ambush. Good to see folks testing this way too.

I'd also like to see the reverse overpass ambush, where you are shot in the back as you drive away.

Oh... I would've thought the hood would be reflective upwards, but then again, how accurate would the laser gun be if it was shooting almost straight down at the car? My guess is not.

I also noticed the "longer than 8 seconds" jam time. Although I think, if what you're saying is correct, by the end when the car is almost below the bridge, it isn't the jammer jamming, its simply not getting reflection anymore.

Lets see more of these high quality videos! Now THIS is the stuff we want to see! None of that "it absolutely screwed the gun" vids... although humourous and funny and worth a laugh, they aren't helping credibility.
