Default Why getting your heads 100% level is a must!

Yesterday StealthJamal and myself where doing testing, and when it came down to do the T/A I was all excited. New clean install, and I had tested it previously when we first installed it and the results where just amazing.

However yesterday it was garbage, 300-400,500,800+ PT's. Heck 2 runs they where instant. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep last night because I was so distraught.

This morning I got up and went and bought a nice 6pin RJ-25 crimper instead of using needle nose pliers and redid both of my connections.

Then I proceeded to check how level the my heads where - come to find out they where off by about 2" on the front & back. So I took my time did some very mild trimming. Got the front 100% level and the back 110% level.

Went back out tonight to do some more testing, on 11 of the 12 runs with Laser Atlanta JTG. I had one wild run where it got PT at 400FT.
For the Jam From Gun side of things again 11 runs where JFG and I had one run that didn't do squat it was immediate PT from 50FT to 1000FT very odd.

As for the LTI Marksman that was owning me last night it was JTG / JFG 12 out of 12!

I've also found out that don't ever put your jammer completly flush with the bumper or grill, let it overhang an inch or 2. this will give much better performance!

So I thought I'd share with everyone how important it really is. It could mean the difference between a ticket in my case!

Wow Staton you surely look like a man full of agendas trying to hide those PT's   Way to be honest with us man and thanks so much for the free testing results and videos you gave us. What was funny as hell is that you were literally sick to your stomach when you told me about the PT's

Off course Staton had punch throughs, he had an experienced laser gun operator shooting his car with dead steady aim.

I shot his car again after he pulled the head out some and it did better. Before it looked like part of his jammer head was covered slightly by his stealth install. It wasn't blocked anymore, but it wasn't completely level. I'm sure once Staton gets it level like it was level the first time he tested he will get JTG again.

At the second place we tested (after he pulled the transceiver head out some) I just stood on the side of a 2 lane road when I shot his car. I also shot other people driving by, you should have seen some of the dirty looks I got. It was fun, I picked off this one car at 2,500 feet. I noticed that since Delaware does not have a front plate it is a lot easier to get an instant speed reading on cars by aiming at the headlight first. I'm sure that is what the LEO's in Delaware do too.

thestaton's car is bad a$$! and that is one hell of an install he's got, just amazing.

I guess I'll have to redo my install then. My heads aren't exactly flushed with the grille but I don't think they stick out an inch!

I am heading down to Maryland today. Hopefully I'll run into some laser traps for some real world testing

I wonder if this applies to all jammers? I assume this has to do with the jammer diodes having a fixed "spread"?
