Is that 2 ZR3 rear jammer heads along with the 2 front heads installed?
You can't have overkill with rear protection unless you get JFG 100% of the time and you add more jammers.![]()
In South Africa, is that all you have is Laser Speed Cameras that shoot the rear?
Yes, thats 2rear and 2 front heads... hehe..
Well, i would say 80% of the time, they target you from behind....
What i have noticed with this installation is that when i do get alerted, the 2 front heads (the ones that are wider spaced apart) only go off... the 2 rear heads seem like they dont pick them up... I have the 2 front heads splitted on the front inputs to the interface... the 2 rear are splitted with the 1 rear input... it seems like the interface module, some how allows the front heads to take priority over the rear ones... not sure...
But when i just use the 2 rear heads, then they do pick up the laser but are not as effective as 4 from close range...
nice! now add a LPP to the back & front and you can apply for a stealth certificate from RacerX.
When you say rear heads, are you talking about the one that's made into a tag frame, or do you have 2 more front heads, hooked to the rear head connection?
Ed
yes rear heads are the long heads designed to fit on top of the licence plate.
This is my setup... 6 heads in total, 2 up front, 4 on the rear.....
The 2 up front are the usual front heads...
The 4 on the rear are the 2 rear heads(plate style) and additionally 2 front heads.
The 2 rear heads on the rear are connected with a splitter to the single rear input on the interface module.
Then... i have split both of the front inputs on the interface module. I now have 4 connections, 2 per front input on the module. The 2 up front are connected to the 2 front inputs and the 2 on the rear are connected to the other 2 available inputs. In essence, the 1 up front and the 1 on the rear is connected to 1 front input on the module.
Make sense?
anjoem isnt this rear protection due to a laser shot from behind that resulted with a ticket?
not actually... i only had the 2 rear heads (licence plate heads) on at the time... and i only got caught because of the extreme angle...

when i saw the topic my answer was "you can never have too much rear protection."![]()
setup looks good.
the shifters seem to give "priority" to the front ones for indication purposes, but whatever gets shot will be jamming.
i was going to remind you to mount "bubble up", but i saw the thread you started on that. good call.![]()
