Default All right, LIDAR experts, how does this look?

I just got a quote from Colgan on a bra for my S2000. They sent me a picture of one they custom made below. Questions:

    1. Does it go far up enough? In my amateur opinion, it does. I would imagine any laser light particles that hit the silver part of my hood would simply bounce up to my X50.

    2. Notice the mirror covers. I think the bra is ugly enough. Do I need to worry about my mirrors?

I'm getting a jammer eventually regardless, but with this bra and VEIL, I think I'm set for a little while. And when I get the jammer, I should have easy JTG capability (but I won't be foolish enough to use it).

    Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Didn't know which forum to post this, since it involves a RD, VEIL, AND a jammer.

Mirror covers: Not neccesary, but yes they can get a reading if its reflective enough, I did a few times on those trucks with the big chrome mirrors, but it might take some time on yours so ample reaction time from the X50, since its so close and the S2000 isnt very wide at all

Bra: Any higher and it would just be REAL ugly, that should be fine, since the hood is kinda slanted, if he shot you there it wouldnt be too effective........and again, thats REAL close to a RD for a LEO to really consider shooting it (They try to aim for points as far away from a potential RD as possible)....and again a Jammer and VEIL will solve all those problems

and about this PRE-JAMMER setup, if I was an LEO and all else failed id shoot the radiator ..........or the rear but at that point youve already slowed down after seeing him and getting the alert on your X50

there are still shiny parts in the grill thats your radiator!

i have no idea wether this will reflect enough light to get a reading?

    without testing you wont know...

I much prefer the look without the bra. Just get a jammer if you want protection.

It would have to be a heck of a shot to get in there. The radiator is way behind the grill. The picture was taken at a very low angle.

Thanks anyway. I'm sure once I get all this stuff I'm going to want to test it. Not sure how I'll do that, though.

I agree with you, mouse. Heck, I don't care for the look of the VEIL, either. But I already ordered the bra, plus it will protect my car's front end. I have several chips in my paint from the highway, and I've scraped the lower lip a few times in parking due to it being so darn low.

Once I get the jammer, I'll probably only use the bra on the interstate. That's where my biggest laser threat is (I don't think my local LEOs have them) and that's also where my paint has the highest chance of getting nicked with pebbles.

I kinda meant that as a joke.....but I guess it could be tested
