    Default Jamming through glass?

Ok, Back before I left there was some interesting testing going on and one of the questions that came to mind was the issue of jamming through glass. Has it been decided that this is effective? Could a rear window mounted head be effective for rear shots? Thoughts?

Damn good point, I would also like to see some test results, this would eliminate all the "firewall" issues with mounting, and it would protect the unit better from the elements.

It would also be a stealthier install in some cases.

I could see a led based system suffering from thru-glass transmissions, but an actual laser diode system might be good.

Coverage and reception could also be an issue, something would be needed as a receptor near the preferred targets of Lic. plates & headlights.

It might be a good way to stealthily mount an AL jammer head in the rear. When I get my AL Dual I'll have to try it and see how it works.

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

If AL was still completely successful in JFG on rear shots with that reflector, I'd imagine any loss from the glass would be similar and not a problem.

Having them inside would be nice for security, stealth, easy of setup and longevity! I hope it works.

    I agree

average glass will allow 85-90% of the ir to pass through, so there is some loss there. now factor in tint, some of which block infared better, and you could see significant losses.

I done a test i set a single blinder x20 on rear parcel shelf up against window tint, laser gun used was TSS Laser 500 i easily got speed readings up to about 750 feet after that i could not get a reading, so in my case if if i got hit from behind at approx <750 i wouldn't expect my x20 to protect me.
