    Default Is my ZR3 head mounted right?

    I mean it is mounted right as far as directions on the head. I read somewhere that the bubble needs to be on the top.. mines on the bottom. I haven't had any issues as far as it not working, just after reading a thread way back about direction I wanted to double check.

    angle of the thing going forwards (Angle off dead forward) changes performance a bit, but not as much as not being level

    and as for the bubble it should be up........... another member on the board took his apart once (I believe it was Anjoem, or something like that) and it showed that the LEDs were about in the middle of the circuit board, so having the bubble up REALLY helps because that way the circuit board is at the bottom

    Yea I was adjusting the angle and such, more of just wondering if the head should be flipped over or not. I guess I'll flip them tomarrow

    Help me to uinderstand why it matters how the bubble is positioned.
    I have mine mounted as the one in ths picture. I have not seen any performance issues, it works as advertised.

    What test do you have that the bubble makes a difference, I would like to have a little more information on this, if you have it available.

    in my opinion and its only mine, that its fine as is, unless i have proof otherwise. they still light up either way.

    let us know..

    Look at outruns video of testing Ford Focus ZR3....

    With the top part of the LEDs shielded they are projecting more IR light back at the ground rather than the air where they need to be...Cause if the shield is on the bottom it will have more IR light up covering the top part of the car...you understand?

    x2, I was there I helped put on FF05s Heads at that time and the thing gave out MASSIVE PTs with the bubble down

    If the board is on the bottom then the LEDs have a clear view of evrything above, like the Headlights :wink: , if he was hitting the lights youd be transmitting at the ground
