Default Setup suggestion, ? RE: running ZR3 and LPP at the same time

    Hi All,

As y'all probably know, I've recently acquired a dual-head LPP setup.

I'd originally planned to run both heads up front, leaving the rear "unprotected."

I put unprotected in quotes as I do have a ZR3, and despite the front heads being no longer functional (I've had the unit for nearly 3 years), the rear is still working 100%, and I still have it rigged on my rear plate.

However, I am also well-aware of the fact that the ZR3's lone rear head offers little, if any, true rear protection ability.

I've recently found out that Escort will repair the front heads for $85, exclusive of shipping.

    So, my questions are, thus:

    (1)

If I get the front heads repaired, can I use the two ZR3 front heads up front, paired with one LPP? - or would this cause some kind of bad thing to happen with jamming?

I would anticipate that a jamming code might be seen, then, but that's not really a concern to me as I specifically do not practice JTG.

    and (2)

What do you guys think about running all 3 of the ZR3's heads towards the rear? Would this offer sufficient rearward protection for a guy like me, who rarely encounters rear-LIDAR threats? (In this case, I would have both LPP heads handling forward threats.)

    Thanks!

The dual LPP in front should be adequate enough, any other heads firing could cause falsing on the LPP (any reflections of the ZR3 heads could confuse the LPP heads into firing an incorrect pattern for the lidar gun).

So I would suggest moving all ZR3 heads to the rear. Even better, sell the ZR3 and replace it with a single head LPP.

Reapir the front heads and put one LPP up front and one Lpp in the back....

LED jammers do decently on the front but horrible on the rear..... Keep the rear Escort head on the rear with a newer LPP head

^ That was what I had planned to do at-first, if you'll remember from our previous conversations.

But I was worried about interference - and it does seem that, by-logic, LittleOverPSL's statements would stand to reason.

Is there any data to confirm, one way or the other, potential interference between LED and diode-based jammers acting together, towards the same threat "direction?"

Well you can always turn off the Escort Zr3 in city areas where the LPP parking sensor might be setting off the Escort and on the highway it's less likely for the LPP parking sensor to be going off like crazy so use it then

As for when jamming laser guns RacerX has proven that the multiple jammers only help the stealthness of a car.

I aqm waiting for Anti-Laser to update their jammer to allow to fully turn off the parking sensor feature I am going with that to run with my blinder m20.

Other results of multiple jammers come from 'outrun' it helps his performance He used the Lidatek le30s and blinders and the AL, Blinders and Lidateks

Multiple jammers helped out his blazer back at the july 05 GOL event

RacerX definitely has a lot more experience with multiple jammers installed and firing. Let's have him weigh in.

My experience comes from the testing we did in Vancouver on Nov 4. At that time JTW had 4 Mimic heads around his license plate. He got worse numbers on his dark grey Scion tC than I did with 2 head Mimic on Honda Pilot. So he turned one set off and got better numbers, not JTG but better results.

    Thanks again, guys.

Please, keep the thoughts coming! I'm weighing any and all considerations at this point.
