Probably. But that would void the warranty and kill any chance of getting a future upgrade. Why do you hate the remote display? A little extra effort can integrate it into the dash or something like that.Originally Posted by sna77

Anyone have any idea what the LI will cost when it comes out? Is this going to be a $500 unit or a $1000+ unit?
If so, the LPP might be the best for my budget...![]()
^ Rumor has the LI in the ballpark of a single-head AL/LPP in terms of a price-comparison.
Honestly, if I were you - right at this minute, if my need is not "pressing," then I'd truly wait and see what LI has to offer.
any idea when it will be available? months? weeks?Originally Posted by TSi+WRX

And to the poster who made the custom colored lights with the V1 remote mount.. have you done that to an actual V1 unit? I returned my V1 about a year ago, becuase i could never tell the different lights apart at night...![]()
^ Sorry - I've got no idea....but maybe some of the others here would be able to chime in.Originally Posted by sna77

estimated retail price that has been said is $400 for a 2 head unit and it will not be sold as a single head unit at all
Thanks!

I don't understand the "UK copies". All what I have heard is that LPP and AL were in it together and then split up. Is there mudslinging going on?With the Laser ProPark, since there is a NA distributor, shipping and purchasing is much easier than the AL. However, the ultimate durability/reliability of these rather newer, UK-made "copies" of the AL remains an unknown (early reports are promising) - and the follow-through of the NA distributor is also an unknown factor (here, it must be said that their pre-purchase, purchase, as well as immediate post-purchase customer-service and follow-up has been nothing short of stellar, based on the feedback of the vast majority of their customers).
^ No mudslinging at all - from what I understand through digging through many, many, many, many back-posts here (i.e. my "research" before my own purchase of the LPP), this was the consensus. A "solid rumor," if you will.
As the owner and user of two LPP units (3 heads), I hope you can see that I bear LPP no ill-will.
I'm merely here to point out everything I know to my fellow hobbyists to let them make educated decisions based on their unique personal needs and preferences.![]()
