I think it only uses the laser to "break" the beam eh? If you could just use a solid beam of this stuff on either side you'd be in business
Hmm..yea what I was thinking. Are these thing set at a predefined height? Or maybe have something on the side of the car with a sort of wide lens that would cover a wide plane. Just something that would confuse the thing into thinking the beam has not been broken.
The height is varialble, both on the tripod or car, they can adjust the height and I have seen it a different heights.

So the jammer would have to have a lens that would fan out vertically the nfrared light to cover a different height.

And as to being able to sense the Autovelox's beam since the hieght is variable, I have seen the autovelox placed at heights were my car for example would pass underneath, so it must reach down a bit and would be detected anyways, also the autovelox beams maybe pplaced high but can be tilted downwards if need be.

only problem i see here is threshold programed into velox for accepting "braking the beam" or "have interference" so, anyhow you MUST break the beam entering in this area ony thing is would the velox be triggered with it or not (i am refering to time you need to supply your own light to receiver) ..

The threshold must be very low since a bit of fog causes it to malfunction, sometimes in apparently normal conditions they have to switch to another place near by because they can't get it to work for some reason.

The measurement comes "after" you un-break the second laser beam, so if you can get the counter-beam in there before that, it should be OK maybe.

I believe this one works with optical sensors like the Octospeed, instead or laser beams. Maybe the guys from Flitsservise.nl know since they have the Octospeed in Hollnad.

The name is optospeed, and is very rarely used here, I think at the moment there are 2 sets in the whole country, and only one is in use.

    To many falses I think.

Works with optical light. Sometimes got a wireless connection between camera and optospeed measure unit (works on the 474.7 mhz I think.

But in germany the also use this device, maybe have a look at: www.radarfalle.de
