    Been discussed on here before, actually. Not economically viable because the 904nm diodes themselves are pretty expensive...

    Do we know what the wattage is of the laser diodes? I spoke with a EE that I work with and he seems to think the are not that expensive. The only ones I found were 10, 20 and 30 watts and he thought that was at a very dangerous level and was thinking they must be using in the mega watt level.

    Not an engineer by an means, so I've got no idea. There's definitely been an extended discussion (and probably in this sub-forum). The thread's out there, you might just have to search for it if you really want to know.

    Building a laser jammer is not something simple to do. Raw parts aside, you have to have some precise realtime processor and good knowledge of how the laser guns work on a technical level to get the timing right for a successful jam. It's not as easy as a radio signal jammer, where you can just use a ridiculously powerful transmitter to drown everything out.

    I think one forum member has built one and he said it works very well.
    It's a laser diode based jammer,if I am not mistaken
    Anyway,his username is"FULCRUM"( www.flitsservice.nl ),try and search his old posts,if you want more info about his laser jammer....
