Default How do I test my laser jammer works? LP905

OK, Ive just installed a Bel Laser Pro 905 jammer and want to know if it is working properly and whether the stop jamming button works etc. I dont have visible LEDs or anything in my stealth setup, so I have to rely on the audio beeps. I tried my garage door opener by pointing it at the jammer heads, but nothing came up. How about those laser poiunter pens, will they set them off for testing?
The person I got the jammer from didnt have the instructions, so what do the beeps mean that I hear?

Laser pointers definitely won't do a thing. Garage door openers nowadays operate on radio waves, not IR light, so that won't do a thing either....

I've heard some people have luck setting off laser detectors with a remote control. I've also heard of a laser tester unit that is available online that sends LIDAR-like pulses.

As far as testing if it's working as far as correctly/successfully jamming, I can't think of any other way other than to find someone with a LIDAR gun who lets you test

+1 - and neither will visible laser weaponsights.

Again, +1 - try various TV/stereo/VCR/DVD-player/etc. remotes. Anything that you can see, on its end, incorporates an LED. In the typical American household, there's going to be at least one that will work to elicit a response from your detector/jammer.

The "Laser Tester" was a feature of Roy's old commercial shop - I don't see it offered on the current NetShops site. This unit was an IR-LED based unit, powered by a 9V battery, which could elicit a response from both the Blinder as well as the Bel/Escort products.

    Again, +1.

Some redlight cameras use laser to 'see' cars, so if they're in your area, check them out---

Also, if you're in the US SouthEast, wait about a month and come to the invitational - see my sig below (sorry for the plug) ops:
