Does AL G8 detect + notify in addition to jam ?

Trying to decide which RD to go with an AL G8. In reading the How It Works section, it says "Inner unit. Includes an audio visual and processor circuit. The audio-visual circuit is made of a speaker and two LED diodes (green and red),switch and key button and serve as notification of being targeted by a LIDAR."

So does that mean that, if I did _not_ care about X, K, or Ka band detection, I could go with just an AL G8 custom installation because it will alert me to a laser and then I can slow down and switch it off?

Or, if I did care about X, K, or Ka band detection, I could select an RD without regards to it's Laser sensitivity/performance because the AL G8 is already proving me with detection, notification and jamming?
