It's the angle I took the picture from, the jammers are pointed straight ahead, not at a downward angle.

I honestly might think about cutting the grill to make a custom set-up for the front heads
Any knowledgable cop will know you got a jammer. And they are illegal in CA
I still contest mounting your radar antenna higher in the car cabin for better performance. antenna'sto recieve radio signals are place high for a reason not low
I'm not worried about it, I will be moving to Texas soon. Cops here are not knowledgeable about jammers, otherwise they would have got me for it on the S-10 when I was driving w/ Texas plates and no plate frame on the back w/ the jammer attached.Originally Posted by crazyVOLVOrob
Here's the problem however, the Passport SR7 laser receiver *ONLY* looks exactly like the Passport SRX laser jammer(including the bubble dome where the LEDs WOULD be if it was a jammer).
Therefore if I was pulled over simply on suspicion of a jammer, and subsequently searched on that suspicion, not probable cause, the jammer evidence could be surpressed as the officer had no PROBABLE CAUSE to search the vehicle for a jammer. The plain view rule does not apply, as the leds are behind a tinted coat that makes it impossible for them to be seen without search and seizing the equipment first. And in any event, if I was searched incident to arrest, I think a laser jammer infraction would be the least of my concerns. I'm willing to get a fix-it laser jammer ticket that carries no points instead of 1 or 2 point speeding ticket.
