Default Laserhead depth,How much does it affect coverage?

How far behind the front plate can my laser receivers be? Due to my front plate bracket,my front plate is about 3" infront of my heads. How much does this affect coverage?I know my LP905 isn't the best laser defense system, but i have to keep things easy for my wife, and having an integrated system(RX65 & LP905) is the best way until the new remote units come out. Here's a pic of what i mean. http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t...Install003.jpg

I think that the question here is how much of the receiving side of the equation is being blocked by the plate/plate-frame on the proximal side....kinda like the dreaded "in-grill" mounting scenario.

This would, I'd imagine, cause some blind-spots to affect that particular jamming head from that sector of concern - it would be interesting to see if members like IRCMUSA could document any noted differences, from a variety of different angles on the incoming shot.

I have no doubt that my current setup with my twin LPP heads being so close to the front plate/plate-frame on my vehicle that I'm definitely obscuring its view somewhat to that particular off-side. I hope that with my dual LI setup placed much more outboard, the combination will allow for good protection both of my widely-spaced vehicle hard-points, as well as the need for "overlapping" center-mass protection.

Well if my memory erves me right with the Escort zr3 and LP905 if one of the front heads detects laser both fire back. So I think your set-up is decent. Black car as well helps alot.

I plan on renting a gun to check out just how much time my setup gives me before punchthru once my tour is over..I'll be testing with the heads where they are then move them out some and see what that does.
