what is the main purpose for having a kill switch for you laser jammers?

Since I live in a place where they are illegal, I jam the police laser only long enough to get close enough to the PSL to avoid a ticket, then I let the LEO get my speed so he doesn't know I have a jammer. If you live in a place where they are legal, obviously jamming police laser guns is a good way to piss them off and start working on getting them outlawed.

And here's a kill switch mounted so it looks like a 4wd switch! This is hooked up to my laser interceptor and the Valentine 1, so as soon as I hit it they both turn off

I'd leave my V1 on when the LI power source is disable unless RD's are illegal in your state. That way, you know what's going on with your V1 on if LEO is still targeting you with laser or radar. As if you just blinded yourself totally with no other source of knowing what's going on around you when the V1 is also turned off.

I understand the concern, but I think if you know their is a LEO in the area, IE already targeting you its a good idea to stay at the PSL for a good lil while. So might as well kill it, no need for the LEO to see it.
