Have you tested a jammer inside the car, just behind the rear glass. So you can easily put 2 or 4 transponders. what do you think about that? Do you think the glass coud decrease the effiency?

I think RacerX is the only person who has tested or runs a similar setup to what you posted. He has jamming heads firing through the front windshield though, along with enough jammers to bring the US military to its knees. Rumor has it, they brought him in to assist with design and materials feasability on both the B-2 Stealthbomber and f-117 Stealth Fighter.Originally Posted by syrinx
But with the rear window setup, it is probable that you will suffer reduced jamming performance. The glass should reduce the efficiency. I have fired a lidar gun through glass and it took noticeably longer to lock a vehicle than it did with the window rolled down. I'm sure someone here has tested it and will post their results.

Edweird and I did a quick test once. Basically, it didn't work too well in the front windshield. It did detect the signal, but I was still able to get PT, even though it was my first time with a laser gun (read unstable shooting.)
Besides, I think the rear is a little to far away from the plate, thus raising the concern that the jammer heads might not even see the beam, much less jam it.
shhhhhhhh.. that's top secret. 8)Originally Posted by PMoth

These guy covered the biggest problem, which is distance of the heads to the closest point of "impact" so to speak which is the plate or a tail light.
I'll see if i can dig up some of my old vids and pics.
The ones i use inside my truck are there more for scatter and overhead shots only.
If i turned off my main protections, it would be instant PT's on the rear, and depending on how far away i am, at some point they would get PT's to the front.
Andrewaz and i did some runs with his setup in the back window of his BMW and you had to be shooting at the window to do anything. if i went down towards the plate it was instant readings.
Even one head to the rear above the plate, it jammed CM no problems, but i could pick off the taillights until around 800' or so if memory serves.
Bottom line, i wouldn't recommend or rely on doing that. the only exception MAY be on a small or midsize SUV with a flat rear end and a couple of heads pressed to the glass, maybe.
I'll put that on the list to test.
I can try heads behind the glass, and out near the plate somewhere on an SUV.
Either way, that would be something you would need to thoroughly test against a few guns before counting on it for more than alerts.
Be careful if you have heat-absorbing glass, look for a little icon on the corners...
dont forget any window tint will also reduce it more. i wouldnt mind trying it on my SUV
