    Default Recommend installer in DFW

Clint Eastwood once said "A Mans Got To Know His Limitations"

Well, I know mine and I need some help in finding a A+ shop in the DFW area in TX for a RD&LJ install. I have a new Honda Accord 08, check it out.

As you can see from the photos of the rear, not many options for mounting heads. I'm thinking one centered at the top of the license. Most laser traps in my area seem to be on-coming shots to the front of the vehicle. Any thoughts?

The front looks much more promising. I think the grill can be cut to allow two to be mounted flush in the top far left and right corners. Depending on the License plate mounting bracket, a third head can be mounted at the top or bottom of the frame.

In a perfect world I would go to the local Audio Shop. But the last two systems I had installed were a challenge to get the installers to follow the Mfg's mounting leveling and aiming specifications.

Can any of you guys in my neck of the woods recommend a top notch shop or installer?

I'm not sure if that helps or not? How does showing a vin # hurt?

Earmark Audio. In Lewisville off of I-35.

Here is a map from their website

They have been suggested here by other members and I have talked to them and seen some of their work and it looks nice. They are a registered escort dealer so they must know a thing or two about installing RD and jammers.

But just a place to check out. It's more of a custom place that you are looking for, not just a Best Buy.

Like I said, "A Mans Got To Know His Limitations" here is a pix of my last install.

I would love to do it myself but its beyond my ability. I would rather pay and have some one install it right rather than pay some one to fix my mistakes.

Thanks Super Salad. I went buy the Earmark in Plano and talked with them, they sold and installed ***'s. I will check out the Lewisville store also. Has anyone had any experience with the Plano store?

With any shop it all comes down to screening, even the most recommended ones. I would go in talk to them. I would esp talk to the installer who handles radar/jammer installs. Test him without him really knowing like how to q's.

So where do you guys typically mount the radar antenna?

Where would you suggest mounting the heads, do they have to be level?

If an LED jammer how far from the lights?

See what he knows first, talk to the guy that will be doing the install and get a sense if they know what is up.

Thats good advice and makes good cents. It may be easer to accomplish at the smaller places. The larger shops have several installers. They may commit one or several installers to your install who come and go depending on work flow. The big money audio installs tend to get the best tech's.

Thanks for the Earmark heads up. Any other qualified talented shops out there?

I agree with you too focalcivic. Thanks for that too. Eventually when I get enough money and I get a laser jammer I will be having it done somewhere because I am not experienced and don't have the tools to put something like that together too.

I'm hoping sometime some guys in dallas will get together and do some testing as well. That would be really cool for me.

But yea thanks for those questions that we should ask. That would help a lot.

And Earmark is pretty much the only one I have heard of. When you finally get it installed somewhere let us know where it was and what your experience was like with them.
