You've heard of "Alligator Alley" here in Florida! This is LIDAR alley!

They are all within 20 minutes drive, in a straight line of each other, up US 301 and from South to North are as follows:

Waldo - PL3
Hampton - PL3 Retired their LTI Marksman 2020
Starke - PL3 Retired their PL2
Lawtey - Stalker LZ-1 Type 2

Cliff - C55

Oh yeah. I know "Aligator Alley" my grandmother still lives in Boca Raton. I used to spend a lot more time down there, especially in the winter.

I'm sure it is "Lidar Alley" there now. Back in the day, my grandfather used to bribe the LEO's all of the time, but thos days are over. He died in 1988. In the seventies and early eighties I guess you could get away with stuff like that. He once got pulled over three times in one day and bribed himself out of each ticket. Too bad those days are over.

He would just open his wallet to give the officer his license. There would be a $100 bill there for the taking as well. A hundred dollars in 1975 would be like offering a LEO $500 to let you go. He was wealthy and could afford to do that.

If you tried that today you would quickly find yourself cuffed and stuffed..

I think that close (near point-blank) range PTs arise as a combination of concerns begin to manifest themselves.

There is more than sufficient evidence, via the videos on this Forum, to show that all of the concerns and scenarios expressed so far are valid ones, and do indeed contribute to such extreme-short-range PTs.

It's multifactorial, and I think that to pursue "true-JTG" is thus more of an academic/testing concern - where as "effective JTG," allowing the vehicle to escape even short-range shots, with engagement distances of between 150 to 200 ft., is something that should be pursued in terms of "real-world" usage.

well reason i think my pt are hitting close maybe because the heads are maybe close to each other. the reason are only have about 7" im guessing separation.

the front tho are a little more wider then that. but i know that close u get lidar single gets small and everything yea yea. Not that i would speed in close range, but if a cop is behind off ramp and im in far lane and he guns my rear. Chances are when he hits me im prolly in about 30ft or so, i dunno what the chances are on jtg on that. Id like to see that put to a test tho.

Many talked about that in the post so i was wondering. How can Leos give you a speading ticket only based on visual "interpretation".
