The Washington State Patrol uses laser almost exclusively in their stationary speed traps. I generally get hit 3-5 times a month. And every time I get hit it saves me a ticket.
A 60 mph stretch of I-5 where 80+% of traffic travels at 70+ mph near my place is a HEAVY enforcement area. I got hit 3 times in one week, and 4 times the week after that. I usually see a group of 3 or 4 troopers working that stretch with lidar at least once a week.
I also once had two laser saves in 3 miles! I was traveling 80 in a 60 and was hit as I came around a corner. I slowed to 65 and killed the jammers. The lady trooper shot me in the back after I passed, but I'd left my jammers off.
After about two minutes without seeing her chase me, I reactivated my equipment and sped back up to 80. Within seconds of reaching 80 I came around another corner and was immediately hit. Same drill, and this trooper never even turned his head.
My then girlfriend was so mad that I didn't get a ticket, it was priceless!
