legal in new york?

Just wondering if anyone can tell me if the following are legal in NY state. I am not interested in breaking the law to that extent...........just........ya know........might go a little over the limit from time to time. 8)

legal in NY state?:

- Laser Shield (plate cover)
- Laser Jammer
- Veil

I have an RX65 on the way but I know it will be basically worthless against laser so I would like to take some precautionary measures but I dont want to be illegal. I cant really afford a jammer just yet so I am thinking of just getting Veil and a laser shield for now. Will that at least help?

Laser Sheild is ILLEGAL
-However is not noticeable if just used alone and not VEIL treated..Use VEIL on the lights and put the laser sheild on the plate and thats an extremely good combo...and will help if your detector is mounted low as possible with a clear view of the front

Laser Jammer is LEGAL right now

VEIL is LEGAL

Thanks Rob...........you were the one I was hoping to hear from as I know you are in NY and are quite knowledgable. I am guessing that is because plate covers in general are illegal in NY? Can't wait to have some protection.

Just put the Laser sheild over your front plate and you will be covered...I'm very risky person and put a light coat of VEIL directly on my plate however i plan on removing it once i have my jammer

There is no need to put Veil on the laser shield or combine the two. Many tests have shown the Laser Shield performed equally well, if not better then Veil on the plate. Several members on the board have tested this.

If you want to be obvious to the cops put Veil on your plate with a laser shield and you'll stick out like a soar thumb to troopers looking out for illegal tinted plate covers. Use Veil for your headlights only and use the Laser Shield for your plate.

Exact reason why i'm removing the VEIL from my plate once I get my Lidatek installed
