Did ALG8 only have one recieving diode and no lense?

Yes one recieving diode,but with optical collimator infront.

So the prototype was not the AL9 and it wasn't the unmentionable, so what was it?

it doesn't have a name and it's just that a prototype. Shows a ton of potential though.
