Default Noob need's help choosing jammer...

    Hi,

New here, and need some help on a laser jammer. I've already got the Veil on the front end, but need a little more help. 2 out of my last 3 tickets were with laser (no Veil at that time). That needs to stop. My V1 is turning into a very nice ticket notification system.

So, here's the deal: I've tried to read as much as possible about all this laser jammer stuff. Googling has yielded some interesting things such as laserjammertests.com, which having read about here is quite suspect. However, they have tested one jammer that I'm interested in, and haven't seen tested much or discussed here at all. It's the product were not allowed to talk about here with 2 heads (latest version). Reading about it, it seems to be similar to the Blinder M25 setup, but only with more LED's. A guy I work with has it installed, and swears by it.

So, I'm trying to decide what to buy now. Go nuts and buy the LI 2-head setup, which is very expensive, IMHO. Buy the Blinder M25, which I have read performs decently and should be even better in conjunction with Veil and is priced reasonably. Buy the product were not allowed to talk about here with 2 heads (latest version), a little more expensive, but well reviewed at least by JA-3 folks (why didn't GOL review this jammer, BTW?). Or, lastly, wait for Blinder to release some new jammer that I've read here is possibly coming sometime in the next few months?

Obviously I'm crazy and need meds, but I'd appreciate any help (with the jammers not the meds).

    TIA.

First off welcome to the forum second please refer to the Rules as you are breaking the number 1 rule
    http://www.radardetector.net/forums/...gulations.html

I unfortunately can't tell you why GOL didn't test that jammer but do NOT bother purchasing that jammer it is not worth the money

Blinder M25 is an ok jammer and will save you tickets but if you got the money and want extra protection I would purchase the LI. Its expensive but to get the best performing jammer you need to spend money

First of all, you can't talk about that first product. It's rule #1 in the forum rules list. Second, it sucks. My installer swore by it too, that is until I showed him I could drill his car at will with my laser gun. The Blinder is a good performer and is budget friendly.

What you get depends on what you are willing to spend. Generally, the more you spend, the better the performance. Since you already have Veil on your car, the Escort ZR4s, Blinder M25 and Laser Mask will perform pretty well, assuming they are properly mounted. Here's a video of my car running just my ZR4s without Veil:

    and with Veil:

Sorry about that. I make it a habit of not reading forum rules prior to posting. I've modified the original post to correct my error. But just for clarification, if a jammer has more LEDs than another jammer, shouldn't it perform better?

    BTW, DJ nice ride.

There is a lot more that goes into jamming a laser gun than just power. Having the proper algorhythm is much more crucial than output power, as is laser detection sensitivity of the laser jammer.

Not necessarily....I know what your refering to and its alot more than just adding more LEDs to get a better jammer

the best performing laser jammers use single laser diodes per head, the other LED jammers use 8 LEDs per head.

To equal the performance of one laser diode it would require 16 LEDs (aka 2 LED jammer heads)

If you are looking for laser jamming on a budget, the Laser Mask 4 head with all 4 heads up front will do great with the VEIL you already have on your ride

I have read that the Blinder M25 J16 has jammed the Truspeed. Is that accurate? And do you think that unit would adequately cover my car - front only?

Since you live in Richardson, I believe you can ask Outrun to show you his M45 and ALG9...there are also plenty of folks from Dallas in here...

I think it should adequately cover the front of your car though I would make sure that your Headlights foglights and Front plate are VEIL'd

Personally I would go with the Laser Mask 4 head since it is cheaper than the Blinder M25 and will offer better performance with 4 heads up front

Well, now crazyVOLVOrob, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the M25 J15 outperform the Laser Mask at GOL last July? Was that Laser Mask the 4 head setup or just 2?
