Has anyone done real world test like this on the LI HP heads? Just curious if it is worth the extra money to get better protection given these PT results.
I don't think anyone close by has the LI HP as of yet. I doubt you need the HP on a car, the LI does a great job. This is just an extreme course and probably not a situation you would encounter a LEO in the real world.
Valentine One (3.858 Ice Cream Truck, 3.812 in Vette)
4 Head LI (On Vette) (7.11 CPU Regular heads front, HP Heads on the rear)
9500ci (On Vette)
LI Quad (On Ice Cream Truck)
LI Dual (On SRX, 7.06 CPU)
ProLaser II, ProLaser III, Stalker LZ-1, LTI Marksman & Laser Atlanta "R" (looking for an Ultralyte LRB)
2008 Corvette Z-51 Coupe
Escort 9500 ix (Cadillac SRX)
I would still like to see if a HP made any difference. Especially since it has 2 transmitting diodes which I believe I read are polarized one for vertical and one for horizontal.
We should be testing one at next CFL...when it happens.![]()
Not sure if this was asked yet. Would veil applied to HIDs reduce the effect seen in testing in terms of helping out the jammers?
I don't think veiling HIDs is a good idea in the first place. The veil would create noticeable glare for other drivers. That is why HID lights are only legal in combination with a headlamp washing system.
