Default Need help with laser jammer and radar detector information :)

Alright..I have a few questions for the experts

    1. Should I even buy a laser detector? I heard there is no point in getting them since when it goes off you're already screwed.

    2. Are there GOOD radar detector and laser jammers in ONE for under $200?

    3. Are laser jammers illegal in Texas?

I might have more but for now THANK YOU

You really have no choice in the matter. All current production, current generation radar detectors include laser detection, although many of them do not detect worth a crap.

There are no good RD/laser jammer-in-one combinations at ANY price.

    3. Are laser jammers illegal in Texas?
    Nope! But speeding is!

OP, you can always disable the laser detection on the V1, Escort and Bel depending on which one you end up getting. We do however, not recommend doing so.

    Jamming equipment isn't cheap.

Without exception, speeding has become a pay-to-play game. About the cheapest I can think you can get an effective setup for is about $700.

The question is what type of rig do you drive.

    What is your budget?

I would also say do your research but also take a step back and take a serious look at the new blinder (J17sc) and look at the latest test's that even included several members of this site and not just by the Blinder dealer because if it was just by a dealer I would not trust those tests but thats not the case.

Let me say this also.....I am also waiting for the final full release of the tests plus video's to make my final descision on the new blinder to buy it.

Keep in mind that the lastest Blinder which Cherokee is pushing has yet to be tested independently. It was only tested by Blinder testing event with people who have a vested interest in seeing the Blinder do well

    Spoiler: show

    Radar Detectors-V1 & BEL v995
    Laser Jammer-Laser Interceptor Quad
    GPS Camera Locator-Cheetah C100

^^ On the other hand, I do trust Micah. I hope that he can make it up to Atlanta for the next Atlanta Jammerfest which will be very soon.

First of all CVR...I'm not pushing anything...read my posts and you will see that. All I have said over and over again, is just look at other options that are out there and that the *Brand New Blinder* is a justified option because its a major improvement over the past blinders and it looks like its competition for the LI....because you...(CVR and others) push that over and over and bash others if we dont buy what you are saying.

But if we back up 1 month or so...I would agree that LI would be best jammer too get if that person could afford it and the case would be strong but there are still cases for other jammers that work well.

But now we are talking about current new's, the J17sc Blinder is testing so well in retail form and there are witnesses from this site that were at the tests who were helping and shooting and no blinder rep or rep's did not get involved with the shooting of lidar guns.

If I remember and it was posted that Ivan was doing shooting at the 2008 GOL Jammer Tests and his jammer came out on top.

Here you have Ivan the Head of Laser Interceptor shooting a Traffic Patro XR and even showing off his reading'.s

    Guys of Lidar

Matter of fact...you have Ivan the Head of Laser Interceptor shooting the Traffice Patrol XR and he is showing off a speed/distance reading of 39mph @682.2 feet. Since looking at this pic of Ivan doing shooting why when you look at the results of the finished testings why is there no results of the Traffic Patrol XR showing 39mph @682.2 on any of the run's and what jammer did that belong too?

Cherokee, you're clouding the issue with nonsense you pull out of your arse, and it appears that you are doing so intentionally.

The major difference here is that the LI tested at GOL was blind purchased by GOL. We know for sure that the product tested was the same product available to the consumer. We do not yet have such a test for the J17sc. The test was on a product provided by the manufacturer's rep. I trust Micah and Leon too. But I'm sorry, until a blind purchased product is tested, we have no results that are credible enough to recommend to consumers. People who did that with the pre-production LI lost a lot of credibility. cVr and I aren't willing to go that route with the J17sc.
