Default LED license plate bolt mod??

I read in an old post, someone recommended using LED license plate screws for added laser protection to existing jammer sytems, however the response was that this technique was tried and LEO harrased him for having them on his license plate.

My question is , could you replace the colored LED"s with IR LED's so that they are not visible to the naked eye and run them constantly on , or incorporate them into an existing laser jammer sytem? ( assuming that this would actually help, or work.)

Could this frame be modded with IR LED's as well?

Why not? I proposed the idea that a jammer company such as Blinder could offer expandable modular heads, in other words, a bunch of jammer LEDs and laser sensors attached to wires that could be placed anywhere. It would allow for stealthier installs and jammer LEDs placed in more optimal location than a bulky head assembly would allow for. For example, one on each license plate screw, or some around a LP frame, some in the headlights, some in the grill, maybe even some in the corners of the windshield for total stealth.

The only use of LED bolts I've heard is to use them as plate lighting because of obstruction from a jammer head of the OEM lighting. Don't recall them being used a "helpers" to a system.

Running them constantly on won't help, especially since a lot of these bulbs don't reflect a whole lot of light off of a plate in the visible spectrum.

As for the plate frame, that is what the "forbidden K jammer" does to hold it's head in. I mean, you can remove the head from the holder, but it's there if you need it.

I'd recommend testing them for effectiveness before even bothering. I would suspect that any bare LED (can't say for sure but I'm willing to bet that jammer heads rely on lenses) wouldn't emit at a wide enough angle to be of any use unless the officer was standing in your lane. Constant on from a single LED would probably be fairly pointless as well.

What affect (if any) do high intensity IR bulbs/ diodes have on lidar? assuming that they were continioulsly on..would they have to mimic the pulse rate of the lidar gun for them to be effective

If they are high intensity and were on constantly, they would probably burn out quickly. Also, the gun would simply ignore/ filter them out. A jammer has to identify the gun and successfully send a jamming pulse back to the gun within a specific window. Simply mimicking the pulse rate wont work either. You can operate 2 of the same lidar guns at the same time and they will be able to function properly. <-- Not sure if this was the case with the gen1 guns. I believe we are now up to gen4.

You may want to search for posts by "Jimbonzzz" on this forum. He goes into detail on the different methods of jamming lidar.

Yea, I remember a post a while ago of the type of power you'd need if you wanted to "jam" by constant on power. It was some non-eye-safe amount.

This will not work. I have tested it extensively. Even 3w IR led's that are so bright that they will burn your cornea out instantly if you look at them are like pissing into the ocean during the day.

I like the idea of any company marketing this as the rear jammer head.
A license plate frame with built in IR transmitters and receivers.
Hell, I would even install a front plate if I could get a frame like that...
