New laser gun from Kustom

The Pro-lite. Has anyone tested one on a jammer yet? It has not appeared in a GOL test that I can recall.

Not good. If there's one thing that we don't need, its easier-to-use lidar guns on the market.

Yeah and who knows, maybe the scheme/pulse rate is different than the PL-III. That would mean that jammers would need to be updated in order to jam it. :shock:

I was under the impression that most of the jammers simply match the incoming pulse rate? Was that incorrect?

Generally, they are programmed to recognise each individual gun, and then they determine the best way to jam that gun by referencing an internal "look up table". But at least some will have a mode of operation where they at least attempt to jam unknown guns by "matching pulses", though it doesn't always do the job.

Supposably, the new Drivesmart uses "matching" as the main mode of operation, though it is still in development.

I would bet the old LE-10 might jam it though...

Which method does the LP905 use? What about the Anitlaser AL6?

I'm not certain, but as far as I know none of the current jammers use "pulse matching" as a default mode of operation, they all recognise the individual guns.

For example, the AL6 couldn't jam the Ultralyte LR at GOL. It gave off a different audio tone which meant that the gun wasn't recognised.

If Drivesmart comes out with this, it will be a first. But something tells me if it was that easy, they all would be doing it.

from what I have learnt, you are correct Jimbo, reads the Pulse and throws it back...when it is hooked to the drive smart unit using the adaptor it will show you on the display what gun is being used

WOW look at how small it is...looks like a osprey or somthing...
