I don't understand why anyone sees this as any kind of p*ssing contest. I thought we were talking science? Fulcrum has been on here for a long time, and although he does not post often he is one of the very few people on here who has is truly knowledgable about jammers, and isn't just talking out of his a$$. Better yet, he is actually willing to share some of what he knows. Everyone should be glad that he has taken his time to reply and offer his input.

I look at it as a lecture with 2 professors that are looking at the same subject from somewhat different perspectives.

So far all I am hearing from him is how it cannot be done. Lets test and be done with it.

I will continue to discuss how I am building it. If there is positive input as to how to build a cheap unit then I will listen. But to be honest this discussion has devolved too far to be continued. There are fundamental differences as to the way we see this project and the physical properties and capabilities of light and Lidar.

I am not interested on how I can't , I am interested on how I can. So far I am moving in the right direction. I had a talk with friends that work at Georgia tech today (they had the day off today due to the storm) And the overall feeling amongst the guys there that I have a very good chance of exceeding the ability of a lidar gun to sense the pulses.

Now that the specter of burning peoples retinas has been lifted, the power levels can be increased. and with that the real chance of brute force working.

Anyways , one of the suggestions guys made was to Illuminate the headlight housings with a diffused IR trough the polycarbonate. Here are the IR modules I will be using to do that, Photos to come soon with them installed in the car.

This is fun! The first time somebody calls me a professor. But I see the point of things becoming a little bit negative.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not the type that enjoys putting somebody in a corner. My input just comes from the fact that I have designed a pretty good jammer, but never finished it. I invested a lot of money in it and have made many mistakes down the way. I see no reason why (some) of those have to be made again. I really admire the effort that is being put in this project by Solion. and wish him all the luck he needs.

And by the way, those 1000? LEDs I still have lying around are yours if you want them, just PM me!

Do you have any pictures of your previous attempts at a Jammer?

I would be interested in seeing what you built

well thank you , we are installing the second set of heads into the car tomorrow. Unless something changes for my workload, I won't be able to get the second set of heads on the car for the rear shoots.

However. I have come up with a revolutionary idea for jamming but have no money to patent the idea. While I will give out schematics freely for the HMLT Spyder. this design idea is so freaking cool when I thought of it .. well.. Lets just say at that the MOAC , if it works ( and I suspect it will ) It is going to freak some people out with an Ahh HAA! moment. and the end of PT's for allot of people.

I am just hoping some promised transponder parts will be at my door soon to finish up the prototypes.

The system name is called Blind Spot and should turn the transponder industry on its head.

WELL this was a freaking interesting day

Got 2 hits today coming and going by GHP both with PLIII's first one ended with a pull over(not me however) . Gods my heart was in my freaking throat though. I was heading S on 75. 4 miles before Windy Hill I had just passed a truck with a trailer and had moved back into the lane in front of a gold Maxima. then he hit me BEEEEEEEEEEEEE goes the transponder at the same time as the Bel. I was looking like crazy for him but he hit me at what had to be max range. TAP brakes, check speed. transponder off. UNfortuantely the maxima behind me got pissy and went ape**** and sped past. He saw the cop and hit his brakes but....Here comes the cop down the shoulder of the viaduct. Lights on and roaring up behind me, My heart pounding (aww ****) then over he goes around me and there goes the maxima to the shoulder with the cop behind him..

I call that a HMLT save.,

Then on the way North on 75, 2 am. Bel goes off first (max range probly splash form another car). 1 second later BEEEEEEEEEEEEEE goes the transponder I left it on for most of the run till I could see his lic plate then turned it off. He lit me up for about 1700 feet. till I turned off the transponder. I don't JTG police ever. but he was reaching way out of range. he was leaning out the door of the car. I can't be 100% it was a PL3 but it was side by side lenses.

Its gettng crasy out there, Between MPD GHP and SMYR PD. I swear th entire police force is on the road pulling people over.
