LaserPro 905?

I've read quite a few topics in these forums, but to the best of my recollection I can't recall seeing anyone post who has used the LaserPro 905. Matter of fact, I don't think that GOL tested the LaserPro when testing laser jammers (could be wrong, though)....so I'm curious if anyone has used and can share any real world or testing experiences with it. Seems that Roy has rated it as pretty effective, but I'm interested in hearing what others can share about it.

It is thought that the BEL Pro 905 provides similar performance as the Escort Shifter ZR3, since they are basically produced by the same company, just sold under different brand names.

Thanks for the reply, Jim. From looking over the GOL test results, it seems that the Shifter tested about as well as the Blinder and Lidatek....am I right? Apparently Atlanta "Stealth" Mode is a tough one for all but the AL6.....even the Blinder had trouble with that one. How "frequently used" is Atlanta Stealth? Pretty common, or fairly rare? Also, how would you categorize your overall experience in testing with the Shifter? I see the results, but I don't see any personal commentary or opinions about it (maybe I just missed them, though, but they are there somewhere).

Regarding the Shifter...from what I have read, I'm under the impression that it seems to have a seperate interface (unit), which would be mounted/located inside the vehicle....where as the LaserPro does not have a seperate unit or box, but rather uses the actual BEL radar detector AS it's interface (I believe?).....is that correct?

Yes the 905 has to be connected to a Bel detector. The Shifter has it's own interface OR it can be connected to an Escort detector. There is a rumor that you can connect either jammer to Bel or Escort, but no one has tried this to confirm it.

Yes, unlike the Shifter, the LaserPro 905 requires a radar detector to interface to. But there is also a "LaserPro 904" available that includes it's own head unit.

That's good to hear, since I'm considering the LaserPro, and like you said, it's basically the same unit, just under a differenty name.

How quickly can a person turn off a laser jammer. Here in MN they are illegal, and I would not want a large purchase to be confiscated.

I would say that should suffice to avoid getting pulled over for operating a jammer.
