Default Alarm at I-10 East - FL State Trooper Hiding In The Median

Heading back from Son's FSU graduation. Running somewhere between 10 -15 over. Median in heavily wooded except for a cut throughs where LEO does there U turns or hide.

Well, I'm about 100 yards from one of these cut thrus when all of a sudden the Blinder starts wailing. Instinctively, I hit the brakes. (There's no one behind me because I'm passing most of them on the left.)

I'm down to 70 in an instant but before I can get to the kill button, I'm passing by the Trooper He never gives chase.

What happened? Not sure. Save? Who knows. Interestingly enough, the "laser" alarm on my V1 never alerted.

The "laser" alert on the V1 does go off enough where I no longer pay much attention to it. In fact, I'm thinking about turning it off if possible, given the fact that most all here agree that if laser alarm goes off, it's too late anyway.

    Lucked out?

That was probably a save in my books.

The V1 fails to alert to certain guns from what I'm seeing lately. I know that my unit did not pick up rear shots from a Laser Atlanta.

A V1 mounted high can miss short-range shots aimed at the lower part of the car, simply because the beam is so narrow it misses the V1 entirely. And rear shots are even trickier since they have to pass through the rear window, past your headrests, your head, etc. and still have line of sight to the rear laser sensor.

I would consider it a save since you were ambushed and not pulled over. And at that close a range you had almost no choice but to JTG.

And such short range shots from a hidden spot simply screams REVENUE to me.
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

Would you pay that extra $100 bucks for that ticket notification? Most of us don't feel even one receiver head is worth it, much less two.
