Laser Atlanta and JA 3 Codes

Okay, so after some testing with other members on the forum, I still am wondering; when we tested our setups against the Laser Atlanta (R) we immediately got the JA 3 code(s) in the HUD display and the Jammer 3 message on the lcd display. Is this because the "secret menu" was activated on the LA or is this standard on a new, out of the box, LA that a LEO would use. I know from reading the LA gives tons of jam codes for vehicles that don't have jammers as well as the ones that do. It just gives more pause for concern given how bad the Ontario LEO's are. Some youtube vids I've seen with the LA (R) show no JA 3 on the HUD or Jammer 3 on the lcd display. On the other hand, I see lots of these codes on other videos. Help me make sense of what this means. Curious to the point of paranoia I think, sorry!

the gun in reg mode will not show jam-3. you have to go into menu mode and activate it at startup.shooting it in reg mode on the bottom left of gun all that will show is inactive or invalid instead of jam-3.once system is unlocked from hidden features the gun then will activate and turn on all the features like jam codes,stealth etc. but they have to be turned on individually.hopefully you don't encounter this feature on.

Most of the videos on the web are of the LA2 model not the LA3.
The LA2 model does not have Jam detect.
Yes, the JA codes come up on all jammers.
Just hope they have the older LA2 models.
Do they always use a Tripod in your area with the LA. I have been hearing that a lot in other places.

Some vids I've seen are of the new, white, LA Speedlaser R. They don't show JA 3 in some of the vids I've seen on youtube. Some others do. I guess from what some are saying in other posts, is that most officers will ignore even the JA 3 code in the HUD display. As for the tripods, I see less and less of them. Mainly just handheld in Ontario.

It comes activated form factory with new units... Try to call the manufacturer and ask to confirm if you want...

Do you have any videos you are questioning about what version it is?
Ignoring it is up to the officer. But I know if you use an LI jammer it will show the JA-3 code constantly it does not disappear during targeting. So be careful.

LA will tell you nothing unless you are with a police agency!!!

Laser Atlanta JA 3 = the absolute ONLY reason I have not purchased a jammer to use in Ontario. Period.
