Any chance this could be applied now or in future to radar detectors?

Why? You mean in the laser reception department? Theoretically, I guess you could, though it'd be pointless. Plus, the V1 already does a pretty good job at detecting laser...

The patent application covers detectors as well, and we plan to make a clip on for some of them. It can potentially increase rear laser detection significantly since your head, seat head rests, B-pillar, etc. can all get in the way of wind shield and dash mounts.

It's 2 fold. 1) Scatter detection (with a wide angle lens this is a very real possibility) and 2) increase sensitivity to start firing those jammers

It's pointless really and I don't see it doing any better then any Rd picking up laser right now!!!

as for the range getting better on the Rd side I'll also believe that when I see it

    We should see ....

This sounds absolutely awesome! I have a Trans Am which is real hard. Too bad this didn't come out before I just finished a complicated mounting procedure. Good job guys!

As they say up here in the Northeast, this is "wicked awesome!!!"

I've often debated how I could add rear heads to my Audi A4, since there's no good spot to mount heads in the rear where they will be in a good location for performance and not stick out like 2 sore laser thumbs. Fiber optics would enable me to place the heads in the trunk and place lenses in the taillights, near the plate, inside the bumper, or wherever.

I bet in the front a combination of direct-mounted heads and the fiber system would improve coverage. Say, 2 heads mounted in the grille plus a 3rd head with the fibers running to the side mirrors or the roofline of the car, which are weak spots in traditional jammer installations.

Is it possible to set up the fiber system in a "receive only" configuration with existing heads? Say, you have heads already mounted but you get punchthroughs in some spots, you could run fiber to those spots and to the existing heads' receive sensors. Would that work?
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

Looks like an exciting product that could help me with a difficult front to protect on my MDX.

Wish you guys the best of luck in getting this to market.

Fantastic idea. Can't wait to see it work. If it works well be ready to sell lots of them.
