Visible Laser Jammers - do cops look for them?

Got pulled over three times in the last year.Two leos never asked anything and one asked about the front heads.I told him i bought the car like that and that was it.

I think this will be my go to from now on (if I feel answering would benefit me). "I bought the car with them on, supposed to be parking sensors but I haven't really used them".

If you're in an area where they're illegal and you have a trained LEO they most certainly will look for them.

Do you personally look for them on ALL stops, or just those that you have a strong suspicion you were jammed on?

If you're in an area where they're illegal and you have a trained LEO they most certainly will look for them. The number of trained LEOs in this matter are fairly small. Legal or not.

This is rather obvious insight right here. Of COURSE if they are trained (to spot jammers) they will most certainly look for them. Stating this is like stating "if you are in an area where speeding is illegal, a trained LEO will most certainly look for speeders."

That being said, I live in a state where they are illegal and I've had numerous incidents where I've had a cop pull up behind me (county, city, unmarked, state troopers so far which I've counted) and not even notice them. (I say not even notice them because if they WERE trained to spot jammers, I would have been pulled over). I get paranoid when one pulls up behind me so I'm always fixing my eyes on what they are looking at - a lot of them do look at the back of my car, they clearly just don't know what they are.

Well I tend to notice them a lot more than most people, probably even more than people here. But I get a better vantage point and opportunity.

But I get a lot of them...

Oh, and when I get jammed yes. As soon as the LIDAR makes that sound I know. You can't JTK fast enough.

Not worth a crap, that's how it holds up in the field!! Ask me how I know....it has not been a good day!!

x2. i tried that. almost got away with it until another sheriff who knew what they were pulled up behind the sheriff that pulled me over.
