We will be putting the 8 x 75 watt diode single head system in to production right after the Defender2.
And I have a 20 X 75 watt diode system coming out the same exact time the defender2 is coming out Neil, that "test video" you posted doesn't prove anything. It was a nice attempt to try and fool the rest of us to wait for your product that will probably never come while the anti-laser is already done with production.

Tips for your videos: Show the aiming dot so we know you're aiming at the moving car and not the parked car in front of it. If you're going to post "test videos" lets try and make them quality vids please.

I can make the same exact test video drive-smart made with a toilet paper roll and a digital camcorder. Put the camcorder up against the tp roll, so it's filming right through it and film a 6 second shot at a parked car. Add a buzzer noice and wala! You've got a jammer video w/o even using a lidar gun! Proves the same point and less expensive to make lol.

    Chris,
We do not accept large volumes of pre-orders for non existing projects.
Nor do we offer free set up tests for non functioning or non existing products.
You have a personnal problem with me so you can't be constructive or objective and just post crap.

You want me to post something contructive? Here is an idea. Why don't you use a lidar gun that is NOT DEFECTIVE. A missing lens you speak of? Then how do you know what you're aiming at then?

For gosh sakes I hope your more in depth "test videos" have non-defective lidar guns in the video.

Take a look at Anti-laser's test videos if you need some inspiration on how to make a good video. The tip is to use equipment that isn't broken.

Default EDITED: Okay, time for me to chime in.

    Drive Smart:

That unit does not have a "polarizer", trust me, its one less lense you need to align perfectly through.

The polarizer ONLY is beneficial when the car is coming directly at you with its lights on, or you point the unit into the setting sun. IT cuts down GLARE and nothing else.

The fact that the polarizer is a twist to darken means it usually needs constant readjustment to the changing background you shoot into.

From what I saw the unit appears as I remember it.

For the DOT in the scope.

This is a shot of how faint the DOT can be when the intensity is NOT turned UP.

The center of the three buttons controls the brightness 0 - 40.

    PRESS the center button
then when the "br XX" is displayed

Use the left button to decrease the number towards 00, this makes the dot REALLY faint and hard to see in sunlight.

    OR

Use the RIGHT button to increase the number towards 40, this makes the dot REALLY bright and easy to see in sunlight. ............... BUT it makes night viewing really hard because the scope appears red inside.

This is how these guns work.
They need constant adjustment to brightness settings when using a videocamera.

My suggestion is for more video without the parked car there.........

Good luck & keep us updated.

If you want a polarizer, I'll send you one, but its really a hassle to use, I took mine off too.

JTW, Drive Smart have already said they'll be at the big GoL April test. If they are full of bull and their product doesn't work at all, then we'll soon enough know, and I doubt anyone will trust them again.

EVEN IF they post a full on video with everything perfect, you could claim (and possibly rightly so) that the video was done against a "juiced" special version of the jammer. I think you have first-hand experience with this as well, right?

So lets give them the benefit of the doubt in the mean time, unless you think GoL have an agenda with Drive Smart somehow?

Remeber, the product brought to the GOL test will most likely be a prototype unless Drive-smart will have retail units available for a blind purchase. All the test will show is how the prototype works, just like the GOL test of the antilaser prototype in August. Only retail production units will show true perfromance.

    Default Speed scope

Surf Daddy the scope looks really washed out even when using the naked eye its very hard to see the dot and very very hard to see the speed or error message displayed specially if its sunny or quite bright.
We will be doing more video's next week and that sample was just a set up test to show that the Defender2 jams the LTI20-20 at close range.
It will be a retail one the GOL will be testing.

JTW: In all fairness, I doubt the <<<LIDAR>>> unit is defective. The video shows a unit "counting" but without the display in the "HUD /scope" brighter, we can't see what the aim is...........

The scope is designed to have a field of vision 6 - 12" BEHIND the scope.

The video I shoot has been successful JAMMING the lense AGAINST the <<< LIDAR >>> scope/lense HOWEVER, I find it REALLY hard to keep the view centered in the Scope / HUD when panning the gun along the action driving by.

Its a bulky proposition holding TWO items each weighing 2 - 3 lbs and trying to keep them in perfect alignment. Its takes PRACTICE.

I'd suggest a brace or bracket made to fit your video camera to the gun.

I'd suggest DS to read my suggestions above for how to aim and align the video camera.

I'd STRONGLY suggest, using the "funky grip", so that the operator can press the range/speed button quickly to force the HUD to display BOTH speed and range in the two seconds its available to the operator in the scope / HUD...............

I'll post a picture of the "funky grip" its not easy..................
