Sounds like the thing to do. Most adhesives and paints just won't work right when applied cold.

He!!, I don't work right when it's cold...

Hey Vic, can you mount the radar antenna easily with the supplied STi-R bracket? If so, in this weather, it may be the way to go.

I can send you whatever installation accessories you may need. Just let me know.

I had the STi-R mounted to the bracket, and had THAT taped to the car. Bolting it on poses a bit of a challenge, given the limited space with which to work in, but worth looking into - even though the bumper cover IS brand new.

This may take a while, but I'm trying something else for mounting the STi-R. Instead of 3M tape (as it doesn't stick in cold weather), I am trying automotive silicone adhesive for the STi-R bracket. Once that has cured and solidified, I will re-mount the antenna. I don't wanna mess with the LI just yet - it still appears to be somewhat straight and level (will re-check though)!

Well, a few days ago (Monday I believe) I remounted the bracket for my STi-R to the car with black automotive silicone adhesive. I remounted the STi-R to the bracket this morning - detects great, but need to adjust the antenna angle. Now to tackle the LI Dual install (again)!!!
