    Jim will the GOL be able to test this theroy buy getiing a gun that is not on the DS Table?

    I am really sekptical about this technology, not to say it cant be done, but I compare this to a Ricer to a Dragster!!

    The Ricer is someboltons and the owner of the ricer thinks hes as fast as the spped of light!!

    Where a Dragster is a calculated piece of equiment that is designed for that sole purpose of racing!!

    What do you think Jim??

    I'm not really saying that they use a lookup table anyway. What I'm saying, is that if they pulse link, they don't recognise the gun, and the jamming scheme would have to be the same for all guns.

    Meaning, that the intervals in time where the jamming pulses are sent would generic, and be (generally) the same for all guns. Using this method, they can't custom-tailor the jamming mathod to particular guns, for effective jamming or avoiding codes. So if they don't use a lookup table, they'll need a scheme that is able to jam all guns effectively, also without throwing jam codes.

    Well lests just jump into speculation here for a min. What if you had "Gun X" and gun x recieved a reading in the best conditions less that a nano second, lest also say that it changes its pulse rate during the long term firing time due to a jam.

    Would that render the Oulse link useless!!

    I mean it sounds great but why doenst anyone esle use it!!!

    I have to agree with Jim, the lookup table is probably the secret to not producing the jamming codes. I am far more comfortable knowing that my AL ParkPro will not produce jamming codes to real threats than being afraid that some enthusiasts with money to spend will measure my distance and speed with an Osprey. Providing that AL jammer will be software upgradable via USB to respond to the new guns, it's the way it should work. There are also issues with V1, for example, as it doesn't detect photo frequencies all that well: if it was software upgradable I would increase it's range from 34.0 GHz, to cover other Ka photo radars (not just Multanovas) instead its default 34.3 GHz...

    Its difficult to give too much info but its not the case.
    The way we have gone about this is unique and already we can jam any gun including the LTI20-20 and Ultralyte without producing any any error codes at all off the gun,In fact the gun just does nothing but pulse.
    We posted some video evidence of this as well on our site weeks ago.
    In fact for the jamming duration the gun will not give any reading at all and will not display any error codes of any type.
    We feel that jamming for 5-8 seconds and the various error codes being displayed is more reason for suspicion than getting no error codes at all.
    In the UK the saftey van operators/police would be very suspicious of getting error codes for 5-8 seconds as in normal operation this never ever happens.
    We will also have an option for the user to upgrade via software a look up table if they want to go down this route at a later date.
    Regarding the software upgrading of the AL they have not posted any evidence that it is possible to do this directly from your PC to the unit.
    In line programming means that the IC you are using can be programmed while on the PCB(With a dedicated custom programmer) It does not mean you can hook up to your pc and just flash it.
    See the beta PC software we have released on our site,In the next couple of weeks we will launch the first user software that will allow you update the unit with new features and software and change jamming times etc all directly from your PC to the in-car box.

    Actually didn't someone already say there was a USB port on the AL (laser pro park) but that it cannot be updated by the user and must still be sent back to AL for any upgrades?

    Maybe they have a "crippled" USB port that is non-standard, and can only communicate with a special protocol or something?

    That would not be possible unless you had some kind of custom USB cable that was wired correctly for the I/O on the board.
    Also you would still need some user PC software to interface with the unit.

    it says Bluetooth on the PCB where the USB is...
