    Default ZR3 Dimensions

Looking for height of the ZR3 front laser heads.

Escort has them posted as .80" tall.

I saw them somewhere else as .6" tall.

The LPP says its .79" tall, but it appears to be taller than a ZR3, that why I'm think the .6" could be correct. Only thing I could find searching was that:

^ This depends on what dimensions you're measuring.....

In terms of width, my LPP heads are about half that of my front ZR3 units. In terms of height, they are slightly more over-square. Depth would be approximately equal. Weight, though, is significantly more than the ZR3.

As such, depending on the mounting considerations, the different heads could be either easier or harder to mount, but typically speaking, the diode heads are regarded actually as "significantly smaller" than the current crop of LED-based (ZR3, Blinder) heads.

I am pretty certain the LPP are taller like you said, but slightly less in the width dept. don't quote me on this. I wonder if the Escort spec of .80 is with a mounting bracket?

    REB -

The thing with the ZR3 heads is that they're not the same "height" from front to back. There's a slight taper on the heads themselves, IIRC. This is why, to me, it seemed that they were "taller" than the LPP heads.

I think we may be thinking about different measurements, when speaking of "width."

What I'm thinking of as "width" is when looking at the jammer head dead-on.

In this dimension, the ZR3 head is definitely much bigger than the LPP.

    ^ Thanks for the note!

ops: ops: How embarrassing, I read my own post incorrectly -> In the post which you quoted, REB, I did say that the LPP heads seem "more oversquare" and "taller" than the LPP heads, but I don't know why later, I thought the reverse, even though I very well know better!

    Oh noes, I'm goin' senile!!!!
