    Default Anybody here know...

....if Veil G4 on the headlights of a Corvette C6 would look terrible? I've also seen posts from Corvette owners who have put plastic film to protect their headlights and the heat from the light caused the surface to crack and or 'craze' and that concerns me about using Veil.

Since the C6 uses projector type lights with very small diameters, I wonder if they are less likely to give a good speed reading at the usual clocking distance. If that's so, a black C6 with no front plate might be stealthy enough to allow the detector to give enough warning to slow down.

    Anybody know?

I believe ErickonPhoenix tried the previous version of Veil on his C6 and did not like how much light it cut out. I have Viel G4 but have not installed it on the Vette for the same concerns you expressed. I decided to go with the LI and will see how it performs before deciding on the Veil.

I am however going to install it on the rear tail lights on the Vette and on the the front and rear lights on the F-150. I'm just waiting till our testing event later this month so I can get before and after pics and results.

Oh by the way at our last testing event, no jammers on, they could lock onto me at almost 2000'. I would suspect that your detector will alert you to the fact you are getting a ticket if you have no jammer.

Thanks! Wow...2000' tells me those lights must reflect like crazy, because from your Avatar it looks like you don't run a front plate. I can't tell which red you have, but it is known that metalic paints return a pretty good signal.

Why not search the Veil post? Lots of pics of applications in there.

The G4 is much clearer than the G2 that Erick used. And darkness is completely dependant upon how many coats you apply. It does not have to be dark enough to significantly decrease your light output to work.

Yes, I installed G2 Veil on the C6 and ran it until the time change and it got dark early. The Veil dispersed my xenon horizon line really bad so I pulled it off with bestine.

While I had it on I found it wore fine. Did not crack just knicked where rocks and bugs hit it.

How many coats does it take on average? I am in the process of stealthing my ride and that has been a question I have. So far I have one coat. Will that work, or do most of you give your head lights more than one?
