    Default Veil Success Story

Veiled my wife's mini-van a few months ago...very heavily plate cover and headlights, since she has no jammer.

She has done nothing but complain endlessly since..."I hate the tinted look of that stuff"...insert more complaining.

She was going 75 in a 55 the other day and came around the corner near our exit...where the cops frequently sit...she got dotted from just less than 800ft. w/ the laser. Slammed on the breaks...drove right by.

    She has stopped complaining.

    Thanks again Veil!

Bel STi (recently tune-up w/ ramp-up fix) mounted top of windshield.

I swear that STi came back way more sensitive after I sent it in. It picks up Ka band >1mi away consistently, and Ka pointed in the opposite direction of our car, around a corner, sitting on an on-ramp, at 3/4mi.

Yep...we are both getting new cars this summer, and she has already requested 4-head LI and Bel Sti-R to match the system I've planned.

But, I will still have light coats of Veil professionally appied to all lights on both cars. She won't mind it so much on our new black cars...she just doesn't like the contrast of the dark lenses on our white cars.

    GTRstikya,

I live to hear those kinds of stories from users of our product.

Congratulations and thanks for sharing your wife's experience especially with Veil on a white minvan!

Man, this is why I really wanted a black car. I just can't bring myself to Veil the lights on this snow white car of mine. It just looks too out of place. And it's not a necessity with the LI anyhow, but still, I believe that there is no such thing as overkill in the countermeasures business. I'm still Veiling my front LEDs, since they set up a good ways from the LI heads.

    SS,

Perhaps you could apply a lighter coating as C4 did with his F150 to obtain a level of "lightness" you desire (especially if you also have actives also working for you).

For the record, we are always looking into ways of "improving" either the appearance and/or performance of Veil.

Who knows, we might just get to a point sometime in our future where this will no longer be such an issue (for some of you guys).

Hey, I love the look of Veil that is well applied! Certainly not complaining about that. It just doesn't go with every car, looks wise. I have indeed considered giving a thin coat a try, while my headlights are still nice and new and might just do that. I've got plenty left after doing the LEDs. So long as it isn't particularly obvious, I'll stick with it. If not, nothing lost from trying!

x2, I agree with Stealth, it looks good on black cars, but hey that's a good thing, since black cars are also more laser resistant by default
