Default VEIL vs. FLAT BLACK which is more effective?

I realize that Veil is designed to be transparent and I am using it on all of my lights and my plate.

Now on surfaces that don't need to be transparent would ultra flat black be more effective at resisting Lidar.

I have this surface that I want to "de-reflect" would Veil work or should I paint it ultra flat black?

This is the flat blacking I have done to the front.

My vote, stay with the FLAT BLACK.

With civilian lidar speed measurment, your black will most likely be more than enough to get the job done. Only way to know for sure is to test it.

Perhaps you can meet up with one of the testing groups here.

Since you Veiled out your headlights or directional indicators that with the other elements, this should be MORE than enough to get the job done.

BTW, I witnessed a single head LI struggle on protecting a lighter (yellow) colored Beemer with some pretty large PTs perhaps due to a less than optimal mounting location (ie; tough head placement). But by individually masking out reflective areas his PTs dropped by nearly 80 pct. (and essentially became JTG) even so.

I learned yesterday that even with an untreated (unVeiled) bike even with what some regard as the "top" jammer is no guarantee to complete protection.

In your case, though, your colors look damn near perfect to me. Just watch out for any light colored shirt, jacket, or helmet. Every reflection source matters, EVEN on a bike.

In fact, if you had it all right, it wouldn't surprise me that you wouldn't even need an active (but I am a TRUE believer of Defense-In-Depth).

you need something to cover up the headlights - for daytime high speed riding.
