Use the long foam brush that comes with the VEiL.

I also pop the hood before I apply it, so I make sure I VEiL the WHOLE headlight.

I personnally use a cosmetic sponge , it is softer because the bubbles are smaller. This sponge comes in the form of triangle , like a piece of cheese , it is perfect for hard to reach corner . Your wife/girlfriend knows it.

Another thing I do : split the whole bottle in many smaller containers = in case a bad luck happen = you do not loose all this precious liquid.

For a perfect job = use an electrical tape all around the edge of headlights = less mess and you don't have to wipe the extra .

When you apply it = give it a good quantity so it drop by gravity but do not try to re-wipe over too much , I found it better a thin coat then let it dry very well , if you want it darker, give a second light coat.

    Have a good painting

As long as you imitate Bob's technique and keep the coating away from moisture and cold weather for the fist day or two you will be in good shape. Just be careful with the container as it's really easy to spill, and can leak if the lid isn't on extremely tight. It sounds like a dumb piece of advice but several people have lost most or all of the product one way or another.

Tape around the headlights to keep leaks away from paint.
Do it in the morning to give it as long as possible to dry if outside or at least make the garage as warm as possible if inside. My ones cracked although temps were quite a bit over 50 at all times, over 70 during the day (TX too).
Use the foam thinghy, the larger one. I used the brush and with that u can only get it so smooth, no matter how good u are, unless u use tons of it so not great.
Prob one of the most important things is stop brushing as early as possible. The stuff dries really quickly so even if there are some slight streaks (there will be) leave them alone because once it gets a little dry (10-20 sec) u really don't wanna touch it.
Give it longer than a day to dry, especially since weather is pretty humid now. Last time I left it a day and a half then it got wet and it was completely messed up.
If left outside or in a really cold garage someone suggested towels overnight to keep dew away and they work great.
