Realistically, if you are hit by Lidar from a Long Distance, the L/S and Veil combined with an immediate Laser alert from your RD and hard braking may buy you an extra second or two. If you are hit at closer range, you'll probably be picked up before you can react.

The problem is, IMO, that the officer will probably not be able to hold the gun perfectly steady the entire time he is targeting you and will inadvertently sweep the front end of your car, getting IR reflections back from the unprotected white flat surfaces of your Jetta.

The best case scenario is that the officer takes aim at your plates or your headlamp at around 1000' or more, your RD alerts as soon as he fires and you correct your speed before any kind of 'sweeping' on the officers part can take place. But there is no Guarantee here.

A black car bra would help in your case. Not only due to the dark color, but the material itself is not very reflective, giving you 2 types of defence.

I would not speed too much without a jammer.

Ultimately, you will need a jammer to shore up your vulnerabilities.

Until then, I wouldn't drive too fast over the limit, you can still get picked off very easily & quicker than you can react if the office hits the right area of your car.

My first guess, would be about 600+ feet punch throughs, although if the officer introduces shake while hand holding you could do better.

Sethy has had some very good results - better than I would have originally thought. The shape of your car is pretty aerodynamic without a lot of chrome.

I would expect similar results to Dilip's yellow Mazda - 550-600+, but it has helped him in more than one encounter and has given him a few additional seconds in many cases - certainly enough to trim off some excess...

If you can lose the front plate, you may do even better.

I'd be interested to know how you do with it...Keep us posted and thanks for your trust!
