veil on plastic chrome?

i know that it looks like dirty chrome but when the veil fades away will it look normal agian because i dont know how amonia will react to painted chrome, any information will be good i am going to apply veil on my car today. i have another post on this car here is a pic.

the vw emblem in the front is my worry thanks agian for all the help. i am going to apply my veil on my headlights today..


btw - when applying veil what brush should i use to eliminate streaks? the foam brush? i was going to use the foam brush to apply a good amount of veil and then stroke the painters brush to make is scatter and make gravity do its jo. any tips will be great.. thanks
