    Default Illinois LEO's

if you live in illinois or northern illinois..if u have noticed that all police cars except for either ghost or unmarked cas have a license plate with green letters and they always begin with M

does anyone know what this means

and also i saw a Ford Town & Country in Kenilworth/Willmete and then again in Highland Park.Glencoe

With a Green license plate like the LEOS but it began with a U.. it had antennas and looked like police equipment in it but i dont have great ideas..also i didnt have my RD with me at both times so i didnt see if he was transmitting

Maybe the U is for "undercover", but they sure look undercover driving a Taurus with antennae and a plate saying "undercover"

people like us on this forum could identify the possibilities, where as others could not

Default Okay, heres why they use the green plate and U and Ms

Corruption...if you live in IL and a FAKE leo is pulling you over, you know, that if the plate is not green and it dont have a M or U for undercover, you know its not real, and you call 911 on your cell. Or, you are using village cars for personal use, and someone can spot you, and report you to the village. for real, some time ago, I remember they had a problem with these issues and the state legislators passed laws like these to try and protect the public and the govt from illegal activity.

ALL IL LEO's have a Mor U on the plate. undercover, or squad, doesnt matter. "M" as mentioned prior does indeed meen municipal vehicle. Other cars also have an "M" plate such as city workers like building inspectors, health inspectors, etc., but they usually drive Ford Tempos instead of Crown Vics, or Chevy Luminas instead of Impalas. Anyways, license plate ID came to a head a few years ago when some losers were pullin gals over in look alike squads and gettin BJ's and such for lettin them go. NOW, it's fairly common knowledge, that w/out a "M" plate, you should keep driving to a police station or crowded place, in the event of a trafffic stop.
