I just finish reading this thread and damn...

I am from seattle and my v1 saves the day! state troopers in my area uses radar but not laser and aircraft on the interstate. I am moving to houston next year.

By what I have read, my v1 isn't enough ffrom getting caught speeding?

Man I see theres houston police, houston constable?, etc... many types of law enforcement here.

Houston cops seem to be more..patrolling

What do you guys think should my v1 (already latest) should be enough?

Hey Ducky, your V1 should be just fine. Since you're not from here, I will give you the break down on law enforcement here: state troopers (Dept. of Public Safety...DPS), county sheriff's deputy, county constable's deputy, and city police. Also, school districts have their own police depts. now. You tipically don't have to worry too much about school district police unless you're near a school, but they are full fledged police officers and do have jurisdiction off school grounds.

Any more help we can provide, let us know, and welcome to the board, take care.

You need a jammer too. Laser is everywhere. In the Houston area there are over 100 different Police departments that can write you a citation. Channel 13 news did a special once on the number od PDs operating in Harris County. So many you never thought of like the Port Police, Rail Road Police, Post Office Police, TX Comptroller Police etc...

Oh yeah. I've been owned by IO many times. When IO got really popular with Harris County in the late 90s they got me 3 times in one year. Twice by the same officer.

Here's an IO strike from a Harris Country Precinct Constable a couple of weeks ago.
