have you guys seen POP used in houston?

Harris County Sheriff Impalas (blue/whites) use MPH guns with that feature. There are some Harris Country Precinct 3 constables using MPH guns as well but I don't know how new they are.

For the record I haven't confirmed any of them using the POP feature.

Harris County Sheriffs Deps would be the most likely candidate since the Precinct Constables got the new Pro Laser 3s. They seem to like those better.

mmm I wouldn't do that. I think POP is too weak a threat to endure the constant falsing. However, I leave mine on. But I like to watch my RDs working.

In my experience DPS is pretty sparse on the 75 segment but I-10 can have as many as four working the E/Wbound lanes. They usually work moving Instant On Ka band radar. (Ka 34.747)

Check you're GPS because they will usually cluster around small towns for obvious reasons. If you're out on the high prairie you're usually clear.

In 32 years of working closely with law enforcement, I've NEVER EVER seen a ticket for 1 over. I've heard of someone's cousin's uncle's neighbor's best-friend getting such, but I seriously doubt it ever happened. Five over is the thinnest I've ever seen and that was in a Deer Park school zone.

My cousin got a ticket for 56 in a 55. It was at 2:30 on a Saturday morning. The CHP LEO that pulled him over thought he was drunk and my cousin gave him a serious amount of lip. The CHP officer didn't take to it too well, gave him a citation, but didn't show up for court, so it was dismissed. My cousin basically got a ticket for being a dyck.

I personally heard a Houston area judge say he did not want to see a speeding ticket filed for less that 8 over the posted limit...... unless there was a VERY GOOD extenuating circumstance.
