I have heard that Vascar is used on the 101

There is also supposedly laser being used on Freeway 152 and in the Vallejo area.

Any info about the San Jose area?

Around SJ there is a team of 4-6(?) LEOs targetting a different road each day of the week, weekdays only I believe.

Nearly sure I read in Mercury Post some are using Lidar. Certainly plenty of Ka around here, and intelligent LEOs that sit on the onramps of 880 North/South, with Ka off until they find a target.

Those are not for detecting speed. It is better to just turn K band off on the freeway in cali. 8)

I never stated they are a legit police radar. I was simply stating they are false causing drones so that members aren't freaked out when driving into an unfamiliar area.

Vascar is illegal in California.

Lots of radar on 17 between Los Gatos and Santa Cruz. Especially northbound at the base on the north end, right at the peak, and after the first corner south of the peak.

Yea, 17 is known for being a Very bad laser trap. The mountains on the way to SC are also full of k band speed signs.

Have you ever noticed any laser being used once it turns into the 880?
