Well we got a dfw section but I know for a fact there are several members in Houston, San Antonio, and Austin. Just a matter of time before someone starts a thread. Where is Mercedes Texas?

Hey Red Drogon, welcome to the board. Ka band is used heavily here in Texas. K band is still very prevalent. There have been reports of X band still in use but it is very unlikely you will run into X band from a LEO.

I recently spent a couple of weeks in Brownsville/South Padre Island. Brownsville PD and Port Isabel use Ka band a lot but I don't know if they use it exclusively. Since you are in that general area, you probably already know that. Take care.
Outside Independence Hall when the Constitutional Convention of 1787 ended, Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, "A republic, if you can keep it."

I drove around Texas last week, almost every DPS car was running C/O Ka.

Taft and Web County LEOs were running C/O K.

My X50 reported Laser twice in Corpus Christi on 44, but it was a wide open area and I didn't see anything. It was 9 AM heading West, and it was pretty cloudy. There was a bunch of C/O K on 358, but it was mostly drones.
